I am responsible for a global team, managing cross-functional & cross-organization networks, while enabling a youth-participatory programme leadership. Learn more here.
The YouthLinks Community has been established as SOS Children’s Villages central digital platform to connect young people with care experience to training, mentoring and participatory opportunities. As part of my responsibilities, I am managing a global team with direct and indirect reports, as well as I am coordinating cross-regional networks. My current roles also implies increased involvement in, and initiation of, strategic projects fostering youth- (led) entrepreneurship and digital innovation. One of my main project-responsibilities remains to advise the further roll out & scale of the “YouthLinks Community” digital service platform: we successfully managed to implement a shared service delivery model, enabling financial sustainability for the project while creating opportunities for & with young people living in over 60 countries. The YouthLinks Community already received vast external recognition, for example in presentations during global NetHope Summits or the United Nations High Level Political Forum in 2022 (access more information here).
I have the pleasure to regularly represent SOS Children's Villages in divers forums, e.g. participating in panel discussions or moderating events (see video below).
Global YouthLinks Project Coordination
After already closely collaborating with Youthlinks Programme Teams in the SOS Children's Villages International Office, Regional offices and on country levels in my previous role in the partnership support for DPDHL, in October 2020 I officially migrated into the YouthLinks Programme Team; supporting on the implementation and scale of virtual initiatives all over the globe.
Since joining the team, I successfully initiated, managed and coordinated global inititiaves: under others, I organized and moderated a webinar connecting the CEO of Deutsche Post DHL Group Frank Appel with more than 3.000 young people from over 90 countries worldwide (joint project of Deutsche Post DHL Group, Teach for All and SOS Children's Villages) and also led the development and implementation of the digital service platform “YouthLinks Community”. The tool has become anchored as central digital space for youth projects in the SOS Children’s Villages federation, connecting young people to employability, entrepreneurship, participation and other opportunities in a safe digital environment.
Partnership Support for Deutsche Post DHL Group
During my time in Vienna, I was actively engaged in improving the partnership with the Deutsche Post DHL Group and the GoTeach-Program.
The covid-19 pandemic also strongly affected the partnership in all 50 partnership countries globally: Due to social distancing regulations, we had to strongly restrict usual face-to-face engagement between corporate volunteers and young people. I coordinated and managed the transition of the partnerships countries globally to virtual formates. This shift allowed us to keep engagement between corporate volunteers and economically and socially disadvantaged young people accompanied by SOS Children's Villages ongoing and improve these young peoples aspects to successfully transit into the professional life.
Internship in the Corporate Citizenship Department: GoTeach-Team.
During the internship I was involved into different projects, including collaborations with SOS Children’s Villages International and Teach For All.
Moreover, I was atively organizing and coordinating different mentorship-programs in the course of the DPDHL-refugee aid initiative.
By the year 2019, GoTeach organizes projects in more than 50 countries worldwide.
Working for & with the organization “Alalay” in La Paz, Bolivia.
Alalay works for the Bolivian population of street-children. During my three months engagement in Bolivia I was able to organize and manage an independent project aiming to repair damaged infrastructural facilities of the organization.
The project might be considered as being successful, as a total amount of 17.500 USD was raised and reinvested.
Moreover, a team was managed in order to renew the cooperate web- page.
