Finally, I Retired - UPDATE LOG 2026

PURPOSE

The chatbot is training to be the Course Assistant the the "12 Steps to a Coaching Classroom" online course for teachers becoming teachers who coach. It is restricted to referring to my published books. You can get copies of the books here.

As it learns, the chatbot moves between several roles:

Coach = Surfacing what is happening in and around you.
Instructor = Describing, showing and telling you what to do
Mentor = Referring to experience (the source material) to inform, encourage and inspire you.

18 September - Content extended to include "Lessons from Laryngitis"
10 September - Chatbot renamed as "Course Assistant" and avatar changed to "blue cat".
04 September- Version Six - Content extended to include these books Educator's Apprentice, TwC Spring, TwC Summer and TwC Autumn.
01 September - Version Six. Invitations sent to International School Educators, Connecting Mathematics Teachers, and Teachers Lounge to test the maximum capacity of the chatbot and its ability to handle multiple languages
31 August - Version Six. Invitations sent to TwC Supporters.
24 August - Version Six. Chat Engine changed to Luna (ChatGPT removed)
20 August - Version Five. Instructions updated to enable the chatbot to dance between the Roles of Coach and Mentor.
18 August - Version Four. Rolled back the User Interface description for this website.
17 August - Version Four. User Interface updated to add description of the chatbot, so no website text is needed.
16 August - Version Four. Instructions updated to include redirecting the user to "Eight Teachers" internally, and "Teachers who Coach Spring 2024" on Amazon
13 August - Version Three. Content extended to include other books Eight Teachers, 12 Action Steps, 12 More Action Steps, 12-Step Activities
11 August - Version Two: Users expanded to include "Elmsvik High" subscribers
10 August - Version Two. Instructions updated to prefer the chatbot answers to come from the Course Materials.
09 August - Version Two. Instructions updated to move the chatbot between being an Instructor, Mentor and Coach. Same Content as before (12 Steps).
08 August - Version One. Content harvested from the two "12 Steps" books, collated as text (80Kb of 10Mb available). Same Instructions as before.
05 August - Version Zero: Users enrolled into Testing Team.
04 August - Version Zero. Account upgraded. Number of Messages was increased from 50 per month to 700 per month.
01-04 August - Original version. Content uploaded as pdf copies of the two "12 Steps" books, was within the file size limits. Instructions were harvested from those books, then compressed to reduce the file size.
01 August - Building the chatbot. Opened the Account and looked for the scope and parameters for the Content (Coaching in the Classroom) and the Instructions (Martin's voice).
