Short Biography
I was born in La Plata, Argentina. In that same city, I attended to the National University of La Plata, from where I received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering in 1996 and 2001, respectively.
In 2002, I moved to USA pursuing the Ph.D. in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago under the guidance of Professor Arye Nehorai. In 2006, I transferred with my advisor to Washington University in St. Louis (WUSTL). I obtained my Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering there in 2007. After I graduated, I accepted an offer to become a postdoctoral research associate with my advisor, in the Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering.
In 2009, I returned to my home country after accepting an offer to become a Research Associate of the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research of Argentina. I develop my research work at the institute LEICI. At the same time, I became an Adjunt Professor at the National University of La Plata, currently teaching a course in high frequency measurement techniques (Course E0217). In 2015, I was appointed Visiting Research Associate at WUSTL for a three-month stay. In 2022, I was hired by INVAP as a radar engineer.
My research interests are in the area of statistical signal processing, detection and estimation theory, and their applications in sensor arrays, communications, and remote sensing systems. In addition, I am interested in electromagnetic theory and antenna design.
