Algebra 2 follows Algebra 1 by continuing the in-depth development of the algebraic skills and concepts necessary for students to succeed in other mathematics courses. The class will contain in-class instruction as well as guided, inquiry learning and higher order technology. Topics covered will include but are not limited to systems of equations/inequalities, linear relations/functions, matrices, quadratics, polynomials, rational expressions, exponential and logarithmic functions. Calculator skills will also be taught. Throughout this course, students will develop learning strategies, critical thinking skills, and problem solving techniques to prepare for future math courses and their careers.
