The Martin Community Players Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of local arts advocates and educators by supporting Martin County students pursuing higher education in the fine arts. This one-time $500 scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior who plans to study a fine arts discipline or has participated in a Martin Community Players production. Through this scholarship, MCP continues its mission of nurturing creativity, storytelling, and the arts in our rural community.
Must be pursuing a degree in fine arts (painting, sculpture, literature, architecture, cinema, music, theater) OR was involved in at least one Martin Community Players production.
• Educational resume including community service/organizations (listing MCP involvement, if any)
• Copy of High School Transcript & College acceptance or enrollment
• One letter of recommendation, excluding family members
• One essay of intent answering the following: how will you use your studies and experience in the fine arts to change your community, region, and/or the world?
