Naples, Italy
Permanent CNR researcher: Oct 2021 - present
My team in Naples focuses on Superconducting Parametric Amplifiers for quantum optics experiments in the microwave regime. We work in strong synergy with the QTLab at Department of Physics of Federico II University.
Grenoble, France
Marie Skłodowska-Curie IF fellow: Oct 2019 - Sept 2021
From October 2019 to Sept 2021 I was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie IF fellow in the SQC team of the Neel institute in Grenoble, France. I was a member of the sub-team led by Dr. Nicolas Roch. My research mainly focused on the development and operation of Josephson Travelling Wave Parametric Amplifiers (TWPAs).
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 835791.
Oxford, UK
Postdoctoral Research Assistant: Jan 2017 - Sept 2019
From January 2017 to September 2019 I worked as postdoctoral research assistant in the Physics Department at Oxford Unversity in the group of Dr. Peter Leek. My research focused on the development of superconducting quantum devices for quantum noise limited amplification.
I was also a stipendiary lecturer in Physics at Lincoln College, where I carried out tutorial teaching of Electromagnetism, Optics, and Condensed Matter Physics for undergraduate students in Physics at Oxford University.
Trieste, Italy
PhD : Jan 2013 - April 2016
Master's degree: Sept 2012
I was PhD student at the University of Trieste, in the group of Prof. Daniele Fausti. My research focused on the application of quantum optics to time-resolved spectroscopy in strongly correlated materials. I obtained my PhD in Physics in April 2016 (link to my PhD thesis).
In fall 2012, I obtained a Master's degree in Physics at the University of Trieste with a thesis about the experimental characterization of quantum states of light in the group of Prof. Fulvio Parmigiani.
Naples, Italy
Bachelor's degree: Oct 2010
I started my academic path at the University of Naples 'Federico II' obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Physics in 2010 with an experimental thesis about single photon generation and entanglement in the group of Prof. Lorenzo Marrucci with the co-supervision of Prof. Ebrahim Karimi.
