Work on Seshadri stratification and standard monomial theory for Matrix Schubert Varieties: I was visiting University of Cologne. I studied, under the supervision of Prof. P. Littelmann, how to apply the theory of Seshadri stratification and standard monomial theory to the case of Matrix Schubert varieties. The notion of Seshadry stratification on embedded projective varieties, developed by R. Chirivì, X. Fang and P.Littelman, provides the construction of a Newton-Okounkov simplicial complex and a flat degeneration of the projective variety into a union of toric varieties. Furthermore this theory provides a geometric setup for a standard monomial theory. My research project is to apply the theory of Seshadri stratification to Matrix Schubert varieties, namely sets of rectangular matrices satisfying certain constraints on the ranks of their submatrices.
Work on Lusztig strata on disconnected group: I'm studying the strata of an algebraic group defined by G. Lusztig in 2020 in the paper "Strata of a disconnected reductive group". Let $G$ be an algebraic group, the strata form a partition for $G$, defined as the preimage of a map associating to elements of $G$ an irreducible representation of the Weyl group of $G$. I focused on the case of a not connected algebraic group. In particular I'm studying Jordan classes in a non-connected algebraic group $G$. Jordan classes are a partition of $G$ in equivalence classes. Lusztig strata are union of finitely many Jordan classes, so the last turned out to be important to understand the geometrical behavior of Lusztig strata.
Work on spherical unipotent conjugacy classes: In collaboration with Prof. Mauro Costantini, I studied the classification of spherical unipotent conjugacy classes in a disconnected algebraic group.
