Martin Ortiz

From October 2026 I am a postdoc at LAGA Sorbonne Paris-Nord University, with Stefano Morra as my mentor. During 2025-6 I was a postdoc at the MPIM Bonn, in the group of Peter Scholze.  Previously, I was a PhD student at the London School of Geometry and Number Theory (LSGNT), London. I was supervised by George Boxer and Payman Kassaei.  

I am broadly interested in the intersection of arithmetic geometry and the Langlands program.  I study mod p coherent and de Rham cohomology of Shimura varieties, guided by the weight part of Serre's conjecture. I am also interested in applications of (analytic) prismatic techniques to the study of mod p/p-adic cohomologies of Shimura varieties.
