Research in the Martin Lab focuses on the use of fundamental science principles to understand how charged interfaces can be applied to nanomaterial design. These applications include self-assembly, energy harvesting, and protein crystallization. By focusing on fundamental understandings of the charged interfaces, we aim to not only advance the understanding among researchers in the field, but also put forth rationally designed materials for innumerable applications.
