My friends call me Martin, and you’re welcomed to do the same.
Current affiliation
I’m doing my Ph.D. in mathematics under the supervision of Professor Victor Lie at Purdue University. (Update: I've accepted the offer from Rutgers University and will be performing postdoctoral research under Professor Mariusz Mirek's mentorship after graduation.)
Personal interest
I started as a math and music enthusiast. To me, understanding the time-frequency phase portrait of a mathematical object is akin to analyzing the score of a musical composition.
This realization led me to choose the path of time-frequency/wave-packet analysis, a subfield of harmonic analysis, to start my academic career.
I’m also interested in any other related fields of study. (e.g. P.D.E., geometric measure theory, ergodic theory, or even machine learning.)
