Hello! My name is Martha Sabogal. I am an Industrial Engineering Ph.D. Candidate at Clemson University, advised by Dr. Emily Tucker. My research interests lie in mathematical modeling to analyze and enhance complex systems characterized by high uncertainty and constrained resources, considering economic, environmental, and community welfare factors.
In my dissertation research, I use stochastic optimization models to study disruptions and emerging threats to pharmaceutical supply chains. Mainly, I focus on global drug shortages and supply chain design and performance. I previously worked on sustainable supply chains, supply chain design with financial factors, and optimization of wind energy project portfolios.
I am originally from Cali, Colombia. I love traveling, being surrounded by nature, and learning about different cultures.
