About me

Martha Sabogal received her PhD in Industrial Engineering (Operations Research track) from Clemson University, where she was advised by Dr. Emily Tucker. In her dissertation, Martha developed stochastic programs to study how geopolitical strain induced by capacity disruptions affect global pharmaceutical supply chains and drug shortages.

Martha's broader research interest includes developing models and solution methods to improve supply chain resilience, product access, and sustainability. She is a Fellow of the Accelerate to Industry Program at Clemson University and a Trailblazers in Engineering Fellow at Purdue University. She also served as Treasurer of the CU INFORMS Student Chapter (2023-2024). Prior to Clemson, she earned both her M.S. and B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Universidad del Valle in Colombia.
