Research interests

My research lies in the following areas of mathematics:  fluid dynamics, control theory, hysteresis, dynamical systems with symmetry, biomechanics

In particular I am interested in

• Geometric control theory

• Optimal control 

• Mathematical modeling

• Reconstruction theory of dynamical system with symmetry and connection to trajectory generation for control systems

• Fluid-solid interation

• Continuum mechanics

My research is applied in biology and engineering, in particular to the following areas:

• Micro-swimming: modeling and control  

• Conception of swimming micro-robots

• Dynamical systems with hysteresis

• Trajectory generation for nonholonomic control systems with symmetry

• Hydrodynamic interaction of active bodies immersed in viscous fluids

• Biomechanics of the mitral valve

• Controllability of tissue growth and remodelling

• Spatial controllability of adhesive systems
