Marta Spreafico

I am a postdoctoral researcher in Statistics and Applied Mathematics at the Mathematical Institute of Leiden University (Leiden, The Netherlands), at the Department of Biomedical Data Sciences at the Leiden University Medical Center, and member of the Data Analysis and Survival for Personalised Oncology group.

My research follows a dual trajectory: I develop innovative methodologies with a solid mathematical foundation and apply them to address specific clinical questions, particularly in the field of paediatric cancer treatment.
My methodological focus involves devising statistical methods to describe time-varying processes from differently structured databases. I enhance survival analysis with time-dependent adaptations and develop causal inference techniques.

Research Areas
Statistical Modelling, Biostatistics, Survival Analysis, Causal Inference, Longitudinal Data, Functional Data Analysis
Paediatric Oncology, Cancer Trial Data, Pharmacoepidemiology, Administrative Databases
