MarsMun will take place on Sunday, June 13. Dates were modified according to governmental regulations.
The main topic is "the Middle East". MarsMun aims at focusing on one specific area of the world, and will, this year, focus is on the Middle East.
Three main committees meeting in the morning:
Security Council (SC)
Health and Sanitation Committee (HS)
Environmental Commitee (EN)
One large committee merging the three abovementioned committees in the afternoon:
General Assembly (GA)
Please note that committee were reduced from 8 to 3 because of modifications of the event following Covid-19's evolution.
You can participate if you are a student from Académie d'Aix-Marseille and/or Département des Bouches du Rhône.
If you are outside this very zone, please write to us (contact page) so that we can individually study your situation (housing options).
Due to last event modifications rescheduling it into one single day, no housing option is currently available.
There are two ways to participate:
1 You register yourself through your school. Your school should have received an invitation email with a certain number of places and your teacher shall offer you the opportunity to join the event. In that case, all communications should go through your teacher. However, if you still have a question, feel free to write to us here.
2 You register yourself individually; either because (i) your school does not take part into MarsMun or because (ii) there are no places left for you in your school registration. If you are in that situation, you should complete this form.
Note: if you would like to register your school as participant of the event and did not hear from us, please send us an email (contact page).
Whilst most MUNs are quite expensive for students themselves, MarsMun is totally free. Neither students nor their schools nor their teachers will be asked to pay any fee. We just kindly ask people to bring around 5€ to eat with others at lunch. However, this is not maintained for sure because of the sanitary situation and will be to be discussed closer to the event.
Wearing a mask will be mandatory for the whole duration of MarsMun 2021. Hydroalcoholic solutions will be available in each committee room, at the entrance and at the exit. Traffic flow direction will be installed. We will conform with prefecture's commands so that all conditions are respected for the situation to be perfectly safe in terms of sanitation.
