With guidance from Ancestors, marsEcoArts began in 2023 as an entrepreneurial avenue to explore, connect, and reflect Nature through Art, Ecology, and Ancestors. mars is an interdisciplinary artist, Ecological Conjuror, and community wellness advocate exploring human-plant relationships through wearables, eco-sculptures, ceramics, and textiles. Certified in ethno-horticulture and ecological restoration, mars works across Milwaukee’s green spaces and Wisconsin forests. Their work has been exhibited at the 5 Points Art Gallery, Museum of Wisconsin Art, the Madison Public Library Main Branch. Currently, mars is a Gallery 224 ArtServancy fellow and the founder of marsEcoArts, an initiative celebrating the intersection of Ancestral methods, ecology, and art.
