I am Art, a Master Naturalist, Master Gardener, Caregiver to Land, an Environmental Educator, Ecological Conjuror, all around alchemist; you can call me mars.
With guidance from Ancestors, marsEcoArts began in 2023 as an entrepreneurial avenue to explore, connect, and reflect Nature through Art, Ecology, and Ancestors.
Examples of leadership as an ecological rematriationist can be seen throughout the NorthWest side of Milwaukee, WI in pockets of urban woodlands, mesic prairies, and riparian areas along Lincoln Creek. Some of the locations that have exhibited mars' mixed media weavings, wearable newcycled art, and eco-soft-sculptures are The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum of Wisconsin Art, Historic Woolen Mill Gallery, Brooks Stevens Gallery, Madison Public Library-Central, 5 Points Art Gallery and Studios, Arts + Literature Laboratory.
Ceramic tile murals that mars helped to create, under the leadership of Artists and mentors Melanie Tallmadge-Sainz and Sir Muneer Bahauddeen, can be viewed throughout Wisconsin.
mars has served community, collaborated with fellow Artists and Alchemists, various non profit organizations, schools, and institutions for over 15 years.
