Mars Live provides up-to-date information about the planet Mars (i.e. Weather, Rover Photos), an Encyclopedia section and a fun Martian Quiz.
Includes Mars Perseverance / Mars 2020 mission countdown clock and detailed mission information.
Specifically, the app has the following main features:
1. Mars Encyclopedia. The app utilizes authoritative sources to provide information on various topics such as, Overview of Mars, Mars 2020 Perseverance Rover mission, Mars Atmosphere, Mars Geology, Mars Moons and many more topics.
2. Live Weather from Mars from the NASA Mars Weather Service API and from the REMS environmental monitoring. The following key data is displayed:
Weather from Insight and Curiosity rovers at Elysium Planitia and Gale Crater. High/Low/Average Temperature, Pressure and Wind Speed for the previous 7 mars sols.
Updated every Sol/Day!
3. Browse photos from all the Martian rovers currently operating on the planet. You can filter photos by date and rover. New photos are added daily!
Clicking on the info button for a photo will display additional information such as-
Camera (e.g. front facing camera)
Photo Sol day.
Rover launch & landing dates.
Rover mission status.
4. Mars Quiz. Take a Quiz on various Mars topics. You will be presented with a final score at the end of the quiz, along with the calculated time to complete. You can view all your previous scores along with badges earned. The quiz questions are randomized for each quiz.
