Info for Our Parishes and Priests

Dear Parish Priests and Administrators,

Thank you so much for all you do to support the Sacrament of Marriage for our Engaged Couples. We love working with you to make this a time of spiritual growth for everyone involved. Our program will continue to develop but here are a few steps for you, to help get things heading in the right direction as it pertains to the Marriage Prep Program.

1. Meet with the couple to arrange the marriage. You are of course still the one to approve the marriage, book the date, etc.

2. Remind them of how to find this Marriage Prep Program Website - perhaps ask your website administrator to add a link to our main page onto your Sacrament of Marriage portion of your Parish website: https://sites.google.com/view/marriage-prep/home

3. Help the engaged couple or advise them to make their ePayment to kcdmarriagepreparation@gmail.com . This ePayment is one component of Registering for the Program.

4. Help them or advise them to Register for a Program Session . They will need to know that they are free to participate in a Catholic Marriage in order to register. They will need to confirm the parish and contact email.

5. Connect the Engaged Couples with one of your Sponsor Couples, perhaps send an introductory email. If you don't have an available or appropriate Sponsor Couple, contact the Program Coordinators (email below). The Engaged Couple will meet at least four times with their Sponsor Couple under the Intentional Accompaniment Model.

6. Once the Engaged Couple has registered and paid their fees please ensure they receive their Packaged Program Booklets.

7. They will soon receive a confirmation of Registration email and will then be able to click on the Engaged Couple Area of the site where they will find their next steps in preparation for their meetings with the Sponsor Couple. They will also find instructions for accessing the videos, couples activities, and guidance for the questions to focus on within their booklets.

8. If your parish needs more Packaged Program Booklets, please contact the Program Coordinators (email below).

9. Please also take this time to consider if you might have other appropriate couples who could become Sponsor Couples. After you confirm their High Trust Screening (through your parish), we could then train them to be a Sponsor Couple for the Program, and connected with your parish.
