2025 Season
We are a co-ed cross-country mountain bike team for student athletes going into grades 6-12.
We foster an inclusive environment, where everyone who can physically ride a bike can be on the team. Everyone fully participates in every practice and gets to race at every race.
Student athlete registration opens on April 1st.
The official season runs from July through October.
Regular season practices start after July 4th. Practices are Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
There are five Missouri NICA-hosted race events that our team will attend. Though every student athlete is encouraged to participate, racing is not mandatory. Races will be held on weekends (Saturday & Sunday). Races are scheduled from the end of August through the end of October. Most of the race venues are within a 3-ish hour drive from the St. Louis area.
All coaches are volunteers and have completed the NICA required coaches training certification program (including bike skills, risk management, athlete abuse awareness, background checks, and CPR/First Aid). Our team complies with the NICA 1:6 coach-to-athletes ratio on trail rides but prefers a more ideal 2:8 ratio.
Our program offers something for everyone. Whether your child wants to cruise with friends or push their limits competitively, we help them define their cycling goals and provide the rides and coaching to get them there.
Primary goals are rider safety, development of athlete confidence and character, and making sure the kids are having fun!
The cost for the full season is $540 plus the purchase of a race jersey. $340 of that total is the league registration fee, and the remaining $200 is the team fee. Scholarships available
