This currently one-man-controlled studio is formed initially with more than one member in October 2020. All other members who either formed or participated in running have withdrawn before the reforms in 2022.
The page started with works on Roblox, providing some mid-quality "custom repaints" (in other words, body textures of buses), for many real-life-based Hong Kong bus driving games of the time. We delivered a lot of content at that time which remains available for public use.
Contents of our early times include many things fictional and real, made to provide viable options for players.
One of the most successful projects we have been running dates back to the year-end festival times of 2020 when Maiko Bus was formed to run bus services in virtual Roblox bus simulators which are loosely based on things about Hong Kong. The company has grown from a small-sized fleet of a few double-deckers, into a vast group of around 350 buses fitted for comfort and safety, running more than 40 passenger services in a few virtually made towns and cities. The fleet is known to carry a recognizable pastel green, with other features that are and will be continually improved to fit the demands of the future.
Apart from all things Roblox, our first OMSI2 add-on, just one repaint for a Hong Kong Volvo B9TL, was released in June 2021. We have then released add-on content of many types to provide all of you with new things to play once in a while, mostly related to HK OMSI2 vehicles. Our repaint bundle that was made public on the 2022 April fools' day, designated to be a thank-you gift for 500 unique Facebook page likes, provided 30 sets of HK bus advert repaints and turned out to be a huge success.
With me moving to England from Hong Kong during the summer of 2022, the studio has since been at rest for a few months. But during these times when I seldom posted anything virtual on the page, real-life transport spottings gradually becomes my first choice of entertainment usually done in the south of England where I go and explore many types of trains and buses.
Living in a new place means new opportunities. I also have published British OMSI2 content on a forum called Fellowsflim, and started a "photo dump" style resource folder of bus and train photos made to welcome everyone who loves transport.
