If you want a dedicated underwater audio solution for swimming laps or snorkeling, choose MARLALL Swimming Headphones-Bone Conduction; if you need a lightweight, versatile pair of open-ear buds for running and daily outdoor activity, choose Gelecek 6.0.
• MARLALL: Its superpower is the built-in 32GB MP3 storage that works independently underwater, paired with an IP68 seal designed specifically for full submersion; the trade-off is that it requires manual playlist management via computer and offers zero Bluetooth range once you are submerged.
• Gelecek 6.0: It shines with a flexible titanium frame and a secure fit for high-intensity cardio where you need to hear traffic and surroundings, but its IPX5 rating means it cannot handle full immersion in water like a pool or ocean.
• Who this is for: The MARLALL pick is strictly for swimmers who refuse to compromise on music while underwater, while the Gelecek is the go-to for runners and cyclists who prioritize situational awareness and all-day comfort.
The MARLALL S800 is not just another pair of earbuds; it is a specialized tool engineered for one specific environment: water. If your primary goal is to swim laps without being silenced by the chlorinated pool or the crashing waves, this is the only option on this list that truly delivers. The defining feature here is the combination of an IP68 waterproof rating and 32GB of internal memory. Unlike standard wireless headphones that rely on a Bluetooth signal—which simply cannot travel through water—this device allows you to switch to MP3 mode. This means you can load up to 8,000 songs directly onto the unit via the included magnetic charging cable and play them back without needing a phone tethered to your waist.
This design philosophy makes it ideal for the serious swimmer or the parent looking for durable gear for a kid who loves the water. The "Ink Black" model features a liquid silicone enclosure that feels skin-friendly and creates a waterproof seal that resists saltwater damage and sweat. At just 22.68 grams, it is incredibly light, ensuring that wearing it for long training sessions does not feel heavy or cumbersome. The bone conduction driver transmits sound via vibrations through the cheekbones rather than into the ear canal, which keeps your ears open and clean while still delivering audio.

However, you must understand the limitations before buying. Because it relies on internal storage for underwater use, you cannot stream Spotify or Apple Music directly from your phone while submerged. You have to pre-load your playlists. Additionally, while it boasts Bluetooth 5.4 for dry land use with a stable 10-meter connection, the moment you dive, you are entirely dependent on that local library. It is also worth noting that while the microphone is nano-coated for durability, the manufacturer advises drying it after every swim to ensure clear calls when you get out of the pool. This product is for those who view swimming as a workout that requires a soundtrack, regardless of the medium.
The Gelecek HS1-ZZ takes a completely different approach, prioritizing versatility and comfort over underwater capability. This is a classic sports headphone designed for the runner, hiker, or cyclist who needs to stay connected to their environment. The standout feature here is the construction material: a titanium frame. Titanium is known for its strength-to-weight ratio, allowing the headset to be flexible enough to withstand stretching and bending without deforming, yet durable enough to survive drops and rough handling. Weighing in at 29 grams, it remains light, but the structural integrity provided by the metal frame gives it a premium feel that silicone often lacks.
With an IPX5 waterproof rating, these headphones are protected against water jets and sweat, making them perfect for intense summer runs or rainy hikes. They are not, however, rated for submersion. If you plan to dunk them in a pool, they will fail. Instead, their strength lies in their ability to keep you safe and aware. The fully enclosed cavity design claims to reduce sound leakage by up to 50%, which is a significant improvement for public spaces where you don't want your music spilling out for others to hear. The touch controls allow for easy adjustments on the fly, and the battery life supports a solid 10 hours of continuous playback, covering most marathon training sessions or long commutes.
This product fits the user who wants a single pair of headphones to do everything on land. Whether you are commuting, working out at the gym, or enjoying a trail run, the open-ear design ensures you never miss the sounds of your surroundings. The "Grey-Black" aesthetic is sleek and modern, suitable for both athletic and casual wear. However, users should note that there is no warranty listed for this model, which might be a concern for some buyers compared to the one-year coverage offered by other brands. It is a robust, no-frills option for anyone who spends more time on pavement than in a pool.
• Best for underwater swimming → MARLALL Swimming Headphones-Bone Conduction: Only this model has the IP68 rating and internal 32GB storage required to function effectively while submerged.
• Best for high-impact cardio (running/cycling) → Gelecek 6.0: The titanium frame and IPX5 rating are optimized for sweat and rain, not immersion, offering superior flexibility for dynamic movement.
• Best battery endurance → Gelecek 6.0: With a stated average life of 10 hours, it beats the typical usage window of many swimming-specific devices that prioritize waterproof seals over massive battery capacity.
• Best for connectivity stability → MARLALL Swimming Headphones-Bone Conduction: It utilizes the latest Bluetooth 5.4 technology with a 10-meter range, ensuring reliable streaming when you are dry and active on land.
• Best for durability against impact → Gelecek 6.0: The titanium construction allows for significant bending and stretching without permanent deformation, whereas silicone models may tear under extreme stress.
• Best for audio isolation safety → Gelecek 6.0: While both use bone conduction, the Gelecek's design specifically targets reduced sound leakage, making it better for shared environments where you don't want to disturb others.
• Best for storage capacity → MARLALL Swimming Headphones-Bone Conduction: You can store 8,000 songs locally, eliminating the need to carry a phone during swims.
• Best value for the budget-conscious land-user → Gelecek 6.0: Without the complex waterproofing and internal storage mechanics, it offers a streamlined experience for terrestrial activities.
After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I would personally buy the MARLALL Swimming Headphones-Bone Conduction if my priority was getting into the water. The ability to listen to music while actually swimming is a niche that few products address correctly, and the 32GB storage solves the biggest headache of underwater audio. However, if I were buying a gift for a father who loves running, or perhaps a clip-on earbud option for seniors who need situational awareness, the Gelecek 6.0 would be my choice due to its titanium build and open-ear safety features. Ultimately, the MARLALL wins for the swimmer, and the Gelecek wins for the runner. For a kid who is learning to swim, the MARLALL is the safer bet because it handles the water without fear.
Yes, the MARLALL S800 includes 32GB of internal storage. You can load MP3 files onto the device using the magnetic charging cable, allowing you to swim and listen to music without carrying your phone or relying on a Bluetooth signal, which does not work underwater.
No, the Gelecek 6.0 has an IPX5 rating, which protects against sweat and light rain but is not designed for submersion. Attempting to swim with these headphones could damage the internal components.
They are very close in weight, but the MARLALL model weighs slightly less at 22.68 grams compared to the 29-gram Gelecek. Both are designed to be lightweight for extended wear.
The Gelecek 6.0 features a fully enclosed cavity design claimed to reduce sound leakage by up to 50%, making it quieter for bystanders. The MARLALL focuses on an open-ear design for safety, which naturally allows some ambient sound to escape, consistent with standard bone conduction technology.
