What is Market Street?

Market Street is a place to support and celebrate local and homegrown artists, crafters, and designers who need a space to showcase and sell their work.

How does it work?

We have space for over 120 vendors to display and sell their work in a pop-up market concept space. Just like at a market, each vendor has their own space to showcase their work and can set up, display, and decorate their space as they wish. Vendors are responsible for setting their own pricing of their items and for maintaining their area.

Do vendors have to be there every day to supervise their area?

No - we’ll take care of that for you! An attendant is on site during opening hours to assist and guide customers through Market Street.

If a customer is interested in purchasing an item the attendant rings up the item and keep a record of the sale. At the end of each month (or upon request) vendors are given a list of all of the items from their booth which have been sold for them along with the cash from these sales.

So all I have to do is set up and you sell my items for me?

What does my space fee cover?

Your space fee covers everything: the monthly rent for your space, EWA, full time attendants, CCTV security, participation in Market Street events, and social media coverage from Market Street where you and your products will feature. Market Street vendors will also have priority placement at Market Street events.

How much does a vendor space cost?

You can book as much or as little vendor space as you like. Market Street space rates are based on the cost of a 6ft table at a well attended one-day market. Don’t forget - this is your rent for the whole month, not just a day.

• Full space - 2m x 1m - BD65 per month

• Medium space - 1.8m x 75cm - BD55 per month (table is provided by the store)

• Small space - 1m x 1m - BD45 per month

• Shelf unit (private shelf unit, supplied by the shop) - BD30 per month

• Shelf space on a shared shelf unit - BD25 per month

• Artwork hanging fee - depending on dimensions - starting at BD2.5 hanging fee per piece

• A flat-rate operational charge of 3.5% is deducted from all sales

• SPECIAL RATES: 

  1. Pay for 6 months in advance and we will apply a 10% discount on your rental fee

  2. Pay for 12 months in advance and we will apply a 15% discount on your rental fee

How do I set up and decorate my space? Are there any guidelines?

You are welcome to set up, decorate, and display your items as you wish - be creative! We’re going for a welcoming pop-up market vibe.

• Vendors may use tables, shelves, racks, crates, easels, screens, and other furniture items to display their products

• Wall space to hang and display items is available upon request - we’ll even help you to hang up your items

• All trestle tables, fold-out tables, and plastic tables should be covered with a table cloth to the floor (hiding the legs)

• Any items which need to be plugged in will need to be approved in advance (to ensure a safe environment)

• Vendors are responsible for re-stocking their own spaces and for keeping their displays inviting and tidy

• All items must have a price sticker which includes the unique vendor code (that is how we generate your sales list at the end of the month - your 3-letter vendor code will be given to you when you sign up)
