Email marketing should be the first campaign a business uses to market. Why?
· Email marketing is permission-based marketing. Your potential customer has given you permission for them to receive information and to sell to you.
· Targeted emails go directly to customers who are interested in your products.
· Effective email marketing = sales.
· It's easy to get started. It is simple to find affordable email marketing with great email marketing systems.
· Bulk email can be sent to anyone you have permission from. This could be one person, or many healthcare mailing lists.
Creating email marketing lists - getting permission.
When you need to collect basic information from clients, it is important that you have email addresses. This is a good idea for any brick-and-mortar business, such as doctors offices, tire stores, bookstores, and real estate offices.
When you host special events, gather email addresses. You can do this with registration, drawings, or both. It is important to mention the reason why I am asking them for their email address. This can be added to the request. It can be something like "For future promotions and event updates."
Collect emails from your website. This is known as targeted opt-in. In exchange for a report, video newsletter or other valuable information, you simply ask your readers for their email address.
You can gather emails using a squeeze page. This works in the same way as a targeted opt-in from your readers. However, you only use the squeeze page to get their information (hence the name). In exchange, you offer something for free.
People are often concerned about spam and unwelcome emails. You should assure them that you don't send spam and won't sell their email address. It is important to remind them of how they got their email address.
