M-Learning: This is the use of mobile technology to aid in the learning or exploration of information. Today accessing the Internet via mobile phone is becoming increasingly common. meaning that mobile phones are increasingly being used to access educational content.
Video conferencing: The use of video conferencing technology, means it is now possible to interact with educators remotely. Educators can teach on a one-to-one basis, or to large groups, thanks to the use of this technology.
Virtual Reality: Virtual Reality is a computer generated simulation of the real world. They are increasingly being used in educational settings. For example, it is possible to go on Virtual Field Trips, or visit Virtual Zoos, via special computer programs and websites.
Learner management systems: These are online management systems for courses. They allow material to be managed and accessed from a single portal. For educators they offer a range of features to aid in course design and management, such as the automatic setting up of tests.be
Social Media: An increasing array of educational material is becoming available via Social Media sites. Learners can watch videos, learn about the experiences of others, and comment themselves.
The Internet: Not to be forgotten, the development of the Internet and Web greatly increased access to educational content.
