"IF YOU LOOK AFTER THE QURAN, THE QURAN WILL LOOK AFTER YOU."

Sheikh Igsaan learned to recite the Glorious Qurʾān by his late father. He finished his first khatm of the Glorious Quran by Sheikh ʿAbd al-Raḥīm Salie while learning the essentials of dīn at the hands of his late father. He started ḥifṭḥ by Imam ʿUmar ʿAbdAllah and with the Qudrah of Allah completed ḥifṭḥ by Sheikh ʿAbd al-Raḥīm Salie.

In 2004, Sheikh had the honour of studying for two years in Damascus, Syria. He studied Arabic and Islamic sciences with a special emphasis on the Qurʾānic sciences. He also completed the two-year Dār al-Naʿīm Arabic and Qurʾān course and a teacher’s course at Discover Islam Centre.

Completed ḥifṭḥ by Sheikh ʿAbd al-Raḥīm Salie. 

Sheikh Iḥsān received sanad and ijāzah from:

• Sheikh ʿAbd al-Ḥakīm ʿUthmān Ḥājj (Syria) in the narration of Ḥafṣ via the Shāṭibiyyah;

• Sheikh Ismāʿīl Londt (South Africa) in the narration of Sūsī via the Shāṭibiyyah; and many others.
