Surrealism : 

I love surrealism becuase many times it says what we were thinking all along, yet forgot to ask.  Surrealism gives shape to thoughts we never knew we were having."

     There was a time after film, but before AI that I used masking as a way to create these Surrealistic images.  It was very slow, technically challenging, hard to make believe it was there. While everyone thought I was pushing a button, I got no respect because everyone was smarter than me. In retrospect, they look humble & sweet. They took on their own life becuase of these limitations. I have 10 years of images. Meant to be printed in small editions, there was only one made of each.

I have 10 years of these locked into my computer & two sets of hard drives. I worked my ass off making nothing for 10 years while everyone was denying me, over and over, from Grants to Galleries, no one knew what to do with me?  Yet I had to take it and smile just the same. I think there is a wonderful and quaint logic to them, very DaDa. People are ashamed to admitt that they are true.
