Mark has built a distinguished career in private equity by delivering strong strategic advice to key Canadian industries, including the real estate, health care, and financial sectors. He received an MBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business in 1987.
As CEO of Marrisa Holdings, Mark has embraced a philosophy that values trust, honesty, and integrity. The firm works closely with entrepreneurs, drawing on its team's own experiences as entrepreneurs to understand and address the challenges faced by its partners. This approach has helped Marrisa Holdings build a notable track record as an early investor in growth-oriented middle-market businesses, contributing to the Canadian economy's vitality.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mark is actively involved in philanthropy, particularly through his work with the Fred A. Litwin Foundation. The foundation supports cancer research and outpatient care in Canada's leading hospital networks. Among its initiatives are The Fred A. Litwin Outpatient Clinic at the Toronto Rehab University Health Network, the Samuel Lunenfeld Cancer Genetic Research Centre, and the Fred A. Litwin Family Centre of Genetic Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. Mark's commitment to healthcare is further demonstrated by his nearly 15-year service as a Board Member at Mount Sinai Hospital, as well as over seven years with the Toronto Rehab Foundation.
Looking forward, Mark plans to continue guiding Marrisa Holdings in identifying and supporting growth-oriented industries with strategic support and capital investments. His vision for the company is to maintain a focus on fostering economic growth and contributing positively to the community.
