Airship & LTA

Our relationship with airships goes back almost 40 years. John Craig started working with Airship Industries on the Skyship airships and continued with them and Westinhouse on the Sentinel programmes (S1000 and S5000) as weight manager. Later he joined Cargolifter initially again to manage the weights but later taking the role of Chief Engineer for the full first scale prototype for the 160 tonne capacity CL160 airship.

"Although I have enjoyed the challenge working on the development and operation of airships I have always been a little sceptical on their commercial possibilities. However, with the environmental and sustainability challenges facing our world and the advancement of technologies especially in the areas of power generation and control, the potential is significantly increased."

We are currently providing support to a couple of LTA companies / organisations and and are always keen to offer our knowledge to all who are interested.
