3D printing uses specialized equipment to create solid, three-dimensional objects from a digital file. In the space, we have 4 MakerBot Replicators (5th Generation), an Ultimaker S5, and two Formlabs Form 2 resin printers. We offer PLA filament, flexible filament, and resin printing.
The laser cutter can be used to cut and engrave nearly all materials including different types of metal, MDF, wood, acrylic, and leather. In the space we have a Epilog Laser Fusion M2.
The vinyl cutter uses a blade to cut designs into certain materials like heat transfer and adhesive vinyl. In the Maker Lab, we have the Roland CAMM 1 GS-24.
Prints high-quality photos as well as large-scale 2-D printing such as posters. In the space, we have Epson printers with matte and luster photo paper.
Prints images and designs onto most fabrics including cotton and silk. In the Maker Lab, we have a variety of fabrics for students to choose from and print on using our Epson printers.
The embroidery machine is used to embroider designs on to hats, bags, and most garments and fabrics. In the space, we have a Brother Entrepreneur Pro X embroidery machine.
Heat Press is used to transfer designs using heat transfer materials onto a range of garments and mugs. In the space, we have a flat heat press, a mug heat press, and one for hats.
In the Maker Lab we have a Juki DDL 8700 which is a sewing machine used for light/medium fabrics for basic sewing needs. We also have Juki DDL 1541 which is a walking foot sewing machine used for heavy-duty fabrics such a leather.
In the maker space we have a photo studio that has various types of lighting options, white, green, and colored backgrounds, and cameras that can be borrowed.
