PhD Positions (August 2026 intake)

Our research group is currently seeking PhD candidates for the August 2026 intake. A scholarship may be considered for candidates with an excellent academic background. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Interested candidates are encouraged to send their curriculum vitae (CV) and a cover letter to Prof. Kim via youngrong.kim@ntu.edu.sg, clearly indicating their interest as "August 2026 PhD Position" in the subject line of the email. 

Potential PhD students are expected to fulfill the following criteria:

• fulfill the PhD admission requirements of NTU CEE. Detailed information can be found at: https://www.ntu.edu.sg/education/graduate-programme/cee-phd-programme-(by-research)

• possess or be nearing completion of a Master's degree in relevant fields such as Naval Architecture, Marine Technology, Maritime Studies, Transportation Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Analytics.

• having prior research or work experience in related areas will be advantageous.

• demonstrating strong data analysis and computer programming proficiency (e.g., Python, Matlab, C++) will be favorable.
