My Story

Hi I'm Jaxton. In 2021 I launched a popsicle business. Here is my story: 

I started a lemonade stand when I was 5 years old. My mom was creating Mariposa's first Summer Fun Street Fair and I asked if kids could have booths. In 2018 with the help of my grandparents I built my own lemonade stand and had a booth at the event selling fresh squeezed homemade lemonade. It was tiring but I made a lot of money ($200) and so I wanted to do it again! The summer of 2019 I did it again and made 240 dollars selling lemonade and wire figures that I made by hand.  

Then in 2020 I got this popsicle that was amazing. It was pineapple coconut. I went home to my grandma and grandpa's and we made a super long list of popsicle flavors like blue lagoon, chai-chai chocolate, pumpkin spice, pineapple peach, and orange creamsicle.  Then I started making popsicles, but we couldn't find a commercial kitchen to borrow in 2020 so I just made popsicles for my family. 

In 2021 we found a commercial kitchen.  Susan from the Sugar Pine Cafe in downtown Mariposa helped us get this business started. Then we did all the permits and looked at cart, after cart, after cart and finally, we found a cart I liked and we started building.  

In 2021 because of you- I raised over $5,000 on kickstarter! I got all of my permits, an event tent, commercial popsicle molds, and my cart up and rolling to be a mobile food cart! I sold popsicles all summer downtown Mariposa, at the Mariposa Farmers Market, around town and at local events. Then I got featured on TV! Check it out below!

This is now my 3rd year of business! Can you believe it? In 2023 right when you think,  "It's hot! I wish I had a popsicle!" I'll be there for you!
