About the USFQ College of Economics
Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ), where I studied my bachelor's and master's degrees, is a pioneer Liberal Arts University in Latin America. It has consistently ranked as the most relevant higher education institution in Ecuador and a leading one in Latin America across multiple academic fields.
The USFQ College of Economics is considered the most research-oriented economics department in Ecuador, as well as the one with the highest degree of international exposure among its faculty and graduates. Its research groups work predominantly in the areas of Macroeconomics, Computational Economics, Experimental Economics, and Applied Microeconomics at the Research Institutes affiliated to the college: the USFQ Experimental and Computational Economics Lab, the USFQ Institute of Economics, and the USFQ Data Hub. Some USFQ alumni have been accepted into PhD programs and PhD-track masters' or Pre-Doctoral programs on Economics and closely related disciplines at institutions such as Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), University of Oxford, London Business School, Brown University, Barcelona School of Economics (UPF), Boston University, The University of Manchester, University of Ghent, among others.Â
