Mario Aguayo is an LA-based musician who excels in many different music avenues like performing, composing/arranging, and teaching, and has 10-plus years of experience in the industry. Mario Aguayo is the church piano and music director of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (OLOG) in Irwindale, and serves at other churches as their cantor and pianist. He has been playing for church for over 10 years and has led a variety of different ensembles, from traditional hymns to CCL music groups. He is also the frontman and plays guitar for his band The Heatstrokes, which plays a variety of Latin genres. At the collegiate level, he is in the University of La Verne Chamber Singers, Lead and Guitar, and a Vocalist in the Cover Band, and the principal guitar of the university Jazz Band. Mario has used The Heatstrokes to help compose and arrange many of his original songs. He is currently working on a debut album and planning to release it later this year. Mario has also arranged for choirs, big bands, and orchestras. As the music Director of OLOG, he gives voice, piano, and guitar lessons on a weekly basis, and has a private studio where he offers private instruction. Some major projects Mario has worked on have been arranging and conducting Christmas songs for any orchestra for a Candlelight Concert with Marantha Church, and hosting a concert at the University of La Venre featuring all original music and showcasing his band The Heatstrokes. Mario is a deeply passionate person who is a frequent collaborator and brings his all to any project he works on.
