The 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines or 2/5 is a multi-roled infantry force within the 1st Marine Division.
The 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines consists of two companies, these being Echo and Foxtrot Companies.
To join the 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines you must first attend a 1MD tryout hosted by a Platoon Sergeant or above within the division followed by three phases to specialise into any of the four platoons within 2/5. These are hosted by Platoon Sergeants or higher within either Echo or Foxtrot Company.

Echo Company
1st Platoon
The first platoon of Echo Company is a scout sniper platoon. Their main job is to support the rest of the division by providing sniper cover for main units, they often act independently from the main force and take out high profile enemies or eliminate personnel manning key objectives such as machine gun nests.
Members of this platoon have many different trainings, like spotting or shooting trainings to keep them ready for anything.
2nd Platoon
The second platoon of Echo Company is a Rapid Shock Tactics Platoon. They quickly mobilise to counteract threats and are a well-trained light infantry unit.
They are used as a quick reactive, high mobile unit and are the first ones to breach an enemy fortification.
Foxtrot Company
1st Platoon
The first platoon of Foxtrot Company is a Air-Ground support platoon. Their main task is to support our main forces with quick mobilization using helicopters as transport. They are often used a a strike platoon, well trained platoon members can also participate in any kind of deployment or mission.
1st Platoon members need to attend preparation trainings in order to learn how to successfully support our main forces as a quick strike action unit.
2nd Platoon
The second platoon of Foxtrot Company is a Weapons and Anti-Tank platoon. Members of this platoon make use of a multitude of weapons such as Javelin Anti-tank missiles, Stingers, SMAWs, AT4s, Mortars and even HIMARs to deal a devastating blow to enemy infantry, air and armoured units through the use of these weapon systems.
Members of this platoon attend a lot of weaponry trainings, where they learn how to use each weapon effectively.
