Dr. Solomon Efriem
Dr. Solomon Efriem is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Haifa's Department of Marine Biology and a Senior Laboratory worker at the National Residue Control Lab, Kimron Veterinary Institute. He studies environmental pollutant effects on larval fish biology and behavior in Israeli estuaries under Dr. Igal Bernshtein's guidance.
He completed both his M.Sc. and Ph.D. at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem's Department of Animal Sciences. His master's research focused on pesticide (organophosphate, pyrethroid, and carbamate) stability in animal products under varying storage conditions. His doctoral work examined the relationship between resistant bacteria and drug residues in broiler litter used as ruminant feed.
Dr. Efriem's research spans environmental toxicology, veterinary science, and marine biology, demonstrating his expertise in both laboratory analysis and field research. His work contributes significantly to understanding environmental contaminants' impacts across agricultural and marine ecosystems.
