About Ms. Moore

I am originally from the triad area of North Carolina. Before living in Wilmington, I grew up in the Winston Salem area. 

I began my college education at Emory & Henry College in Virginia. While there I studied psychology and was a part of the women's swim team. I attended college for two years at E&H before deciding to transfer to UNC Wilmington. 

I am a graduate of UNC Wilmington with a B.A. in Recreation Therapy. This will be my 6th year teaching, and my 4th year at Laney High School. I attended UNC Charlotte and received my Graduate Certificate in Special Education (K-12), adaptive curriculums. 

Outside of Laney I am a part of the Wrightsville Beach Fire Department Ocean Rescue team and spend my summers guarding at the beach. I also do freelance graphic design for small businesses around Wilmington, as well as commissioned art pieces.
