Spicy Porterhouse Steak
INGREDIENTS
2 lb Porterhouse steak
1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
1/2 cup dark soy sauce
4 tablespoons peanut oil
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons finely chopped garlic
2 teaspoons granulated sugar
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon salt
6 green onions thinly sliced
PREPARATION
Combine all the ingredients into re-sealable plastic bag except for the green onions and peanut oil. Whisk well and add thinly cut slices of Porterhouse
steak to marinade, seal, and place in refrigerator for 2–4 hours. Reserve remaining marinade for future use.
Prepare grill, remove Porterhouse steak pieces from marinade, proceed by placing Wok over high heat adding peanut oil and green onions and cook for
10–15 seconds before stirring in the beef strips and adding one teaspoon of salt.
Stir fry for 1–2 minutes until beef is almost cooked, pour in marinade and cook for 2–3 three minutes more until the meat is no longer pink and is
beginning to brown. When done remove from heat and serve immediately.

INGREDIENTS
1 1/2–2 lb Porterhouse steak
1/2 cup dry sherry or red wine
1/2 cup fresh cilantro/coriander
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 small onion chopped
4 garlic cloves chopped
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
PREPARATION
Combine all ingredients in a large plastic bag and refrigerate overnight.
Prepare BBQ grill by placing a single layer of hot coals on bottom grill, install the top grill and brush clean.
Remove Porterhouse steak from the refrigerator and put marinade to one side. Brush steak with marinade and place on grill for 6–8 minutes per side.
With the remaining marinade pour into a small saucepan over low heat for 10 minutes to thicken.
Transfer the steak to a cutting board, let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing it into thin strips for serving.
Use the reduced marinade to add additional flavor and serve.
