Welcome!

I am a researcher at the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC). My research investigates the co-evolution of life and Earth's environment, with a particular focus on the evolution of oxygen-producing microbes and their connection to global environmental changes, such as the Great Oxidation Event and snowball Earth events.

Current Research Topics:

- Biogeochemical modeling of the Great Oxidation Event (GOE) and a snowball Earth during the Paleoproterozoic

- Phylogenetic analysis of cyanobacterial genes in relation to global biogeochemical cycles of oxygen, nutrient, and redox-sensitive trace metals.
