Some of the animals become museum collections and it is almost impossible to meet them in their natural habitat. They got extinct and now conservationists make attempts to reintroduce them from the other countries, like this Crested Ibis from China in 2008.

It's amazing how closely the animals and humans can interact in Japan. They seem tame, but not encircled and free in their ways. In urban parks, birds, deer, fish - all are at ease and next to the human.

In Japan there are many cat cafe, where visitors can pet cats and relax. Sometimes, when you come there, most of cats are sleeping and you are not allowed to disturb them.
