I'm a young researcher with a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Computational Biology that I obtained in March, 2023 under the supervision of Madalena Chaves from Inria and Jérémie Roux from IRCAN. My research focuses on designing mathematical models and algorithms via hybrid approachs (a combination of AI and deterministic models) to improve the discovery and pre-clinical development of new cancer drugs and how these drugs can be produced more efficiently via bioengineering.
The lack of efficacy of targeted therapies in oncology is due to molecular mechanisms of non-genetic resistance: these mechanisms are potential targets for combination therapy. Our technology combines live cell imaging and machine learning to predict the futur drug drug response of single-cell from different cancer cells lines which allow us to isolate senstive from tolerant cells and sequence them accordingly to identiify differentialy expressed genes. These molecular targets are the key to design rational combination therapies that will resensitize tolerant cells, ensuring the success of immunotherapies currently in development.
