Self-portraits
Hello, my name is Marie-Kathrin Reiter-Daspet. Artistic nude painting is my passion. I am primarily interested in the human figure: face or body. Striving to translate the emotions inspired by each model, I adapt my expression (color, line, drawing technique) to the personality of the model.
Of Franco-German descent, I have been living in Strasbourg for 40 years, which has allowed me to exhibit numerous times in this city.
Since 2001, I have regularly participated in group exhibitions in Alsace, Paris, Germany, Czech Republic (Pilsen), Switzerland (Zurich), Belgium (Liège), USA (Boston), and Japan (Tokyo). I have exhibited several times for the Diocese of Strasbourg in churches (11th & 22nd sacred art paths in Alsace, Centenary of the church of Bischheim, Millennium of Strasbourg Cathedral). I have notably exhibited in Strasbourg at the Chamber of Crafts, at the Council of Europe twice, and at the St'Art Contemporary Art Fair, and I have been represented by several galleries in Strasbourg, Nancy, Liège, and Germany.
Photographs of the beauty of nature are a hobby and a source ofinspiration for me.
I have been a member of AIDA (Independent Artists of Alsace) and other artistic associations such as ApoG, Villa Rhena, and Imagora.
