About Me
I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Statistics at the Institute of Biosciences, Letters and Exact Sciences, São Paulo State University (UNESP), São José do Rio Preto-SP, Brazil.
My research focuses on computational and statistical methods to extract meaningful insights from data, with a particular emphasis on:
Data Science
Artificial Intelligence
Statistics and Machine Learning
Computer Vision
Remote Sensing
Numerical Analysis
In addition to my academic work, I am actively involved in various leadership and outreach initiatives:
Former Coordinator (2023-2024) and member of the Project Girls in Engineering, Exact Sciences and Technologies (GECET: Garotas nas Engenharias, Ciências Exatas e Tecnologias), aimed at encouraging female participation in STEM fields.
Member of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Society of Applied and Computational Mathematics (SBMAC).
Member of the SBMAC Communication Commission.
Coordinator of the SP Covid-19 Info Tracker Platform, a key initiative in tracking the pandemic's progress in São Paulo.
Former Coordinator (2021-2023) and member of the Women in Applied and Computational Mathematics Committee (Comitê Temático Mulheres na Matemática Aplicada e Computacional) at SBMAC, promoting gender equality in mathematical sciences.
Alternate Councilwoman at the Municipal Council for Women’s Rights of São José do Rio Preto, Brazil.
