My name is Maria Zeta, but my love ones call me "Yza". I was born and raised in the Philippines and moved here to California when I was 11 years old. So yes, English is most definetly not my first language and had to repeat 5th grade for this very reason. My 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Rice was so kind, caring, patient, supportive and encouraging, and ti'll this day her efforts to make me feel welcomed and supported is something I will remember forever. She is the main reason I want to become a teacher. I aspire to change and impact someones life the way that she has impacted mine. I am very excited to learn and grow throughout my academic journey and apply everything I've seen and learned from all of my professors into my own classroom. I love travelling, journaling, photography, I love animals (my favorite animals are cats, whales and sea otters) I love the ocean, and I love listening to music. Disneyland with my boyfriend every month is something I truly love and enjoy. My family, boyfriend and friends mean the world to me, they are all so supportive, caring and they motivate me to do my best every second of every day, they are the main reason I keep pushing to do my best.
