My research combines mathematical analysis, computational methods and applications to real data. I am also interested in optimization.
I study the recovery of unknown parameters and states from finite and incomplete observations. This includes local identifiability and the analytic structure of parameter-to-observation maps for ODE models.
I study mathematical models based on dynamical systems and their use in interpreting real data. My work in epidemiology includes mechanistic epidemic models, parameter estimation and changes in transmission regimes.
I work with neural inverse solvers, ensemble methods and hybrid neural-analytic approaches. I am interested in how mathematical structure and recovery conditions inform computational learning methods.
In collaboration with medical researchers, I analyse and interpret heterogeneous clinical data, serving as lead statistician in peer-reviewed studies.
