Phonemic documentation, San Mateo Mixtepec Zapotec:

Conducting linguistic fieldwork research in San Mateo Mixtepec, Oaxaca from 2023, with ELF and IPA support. Some preliminaries presented in WAIL 27.

Effects of uvular consonats in Filomeno Mata Totonac:

A, soon to be, qualifying paper on the local and non-local effects of uvular consonants, an acoustic and phonological study. 

Prospective research/general interests: 

Juncture and boundary phenomena (MSc thesis), prosody-syntax mapping, wordhood, corpus creation, storytelling.

Current RA work: under the direction of Dr. Faytak, acoustic and articulatory studies on Mundabli (Atlantic-Congo), and Maihɨki (Tukanoan).

Spanish: dialectology, sociophonetics
