My name is Mariana Franco, and I am a freshman at Florida State University enrolled in ENC 2135. As this was one of my first college-level courses, I initially approached it with a great deal of hesitation and uncertainty. However, over the duration of the semester, this course has not only expanded my understanding of concepts relevant to my field of study but has also significantly strengthened my abilities as a writer.
This electronic portfolio presents a selection of work I completed throughout the course, illustrating my growth and comprehension of the key terms and strategies introduced in ENC 2135. Included are two course activities and one revised, polished project that collectively demonstrate the progress I have made over the past six weeks. Through these pieces, it becomes evident that I now thoughtfully apply elements such as genre, rhetorical appeals, and audience—strategies I had not previously considered in my writing.
