This work emerged from a reflection on the 50th anniversary of the April 25th revolution in Portugal — the Day of Freedom, the Carnation Revolution. Fifty years are being celebrated! But what now?!...
This revolution changed a lot of things, but for many communities, this change was not immediate. The LGBTQI+ community was one of them – the change was slow (and continues to be). This work is an ode to the Day of Freedom, but also to the progress the LGBTQI+ community has made over the last 50 years.
The work results from a collaboration with the artist Baixa.
