The work "minorias" is an artist's book that explores the concept of minorities. It reflects on how “minorities” emerge from different contexts and places — various fractures that come together to form a larger whole labeled as “minorities”. Several “minorities” together are many times, in fact, the majority (!).

The book consists of 10 separate pieces that connect. This allows the viewer to arrange and rearrange the fractures like a puzzle.

This work emerged from a reflection on the 50th anniversary of the April 25th revolution in Portugal — the Day of Freedom, the Carnation Revolution (“Revolução dos Cravos”). Fifty years are being celebrated! But what now?!...
