Milan Design Week
Milan Design Week
From April 6-12, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in Milan Design Week 2025 through the Unfold Competition by Domus Academy, and I’m still processing how special the experience was.
Our project development started in December 2024 and lasted until April 2025. After its completion, it was showcased at BASE Milano, one of the most inspiring creative spaces I’ve ever experienced. From meeting passionate designers and innovators to discussing the “why” behind our product, EQ/A, and the solution it proposes, every conversation felt meaningful and eye-opening.
EQ/A is a speculative design concept that my group and I created that envisions the urban soundscape as a potential source of renewable energy. Addressing the anticipated 2050 energy crisis, the project explores an alternative system that converts everyday urban noise, typically considered a nuisance, into electrical power.
My role in creating this project is as follows:
•Concept Development - Originated the core idea for EQ/A
•3D Modeling - Created initial 3D concept variations to visualize and iterate on the product design
•Video Production - Shot, edited, and produced the promotional scenario video, handling all aspects of visual and sound design
• Sound Design - Composed and integrated original audio inspired by Electro-Shaabi to support the project's cultural narrative
• Presentation Design - Designed and delivered the final project presentation for exhibition
•Speculative Research - Explored future-focused themes such as urban energy innovation and acoustic power harvesting
Final Product
Presentation Design:
Designed the presentation and visual identity of the project, ensuring every asset aligned with the speculative tone while staying accessible and aesthetically cohesive for an international audience.
