PhD Student at the University of Florida
I'm a fifth-year PhD Student at the University of Florida studying Astronomy and working with Dr. Jaehan Bae. I received undergraduate degrees in Physics and Astronomy at the University of Arizona where I was a Flinn Scholar and worked with Dr. Yancy Shirley. I'm interested in characterizing planet formation to learn more about our own beginnings. I observe protoplanetary disks with radio interferometers (ALMA, NOEMA, SMA) to understand their physical structure, dynamics, chemistry, and to search for still-forming planets.
I grew up in Benson, Arizona and I hope to bring STEM education and opportunities to rural communities. I'm the co-founder of the Gainesville chapter of Astronomy on Tap; please reach out if you are interested in giving a talk! Outside of school, I love to hunt for fossils, hike, kayak, and hang out with my cat.
